Mid-Century Meanie: 1963 Buick Riviera

September 22, 2016 buick, riviera, hardtop

This 1963 Riviera has been with the same California family since 1968 and was driven by the sellers mother-in-law up until 2003. Since then it has been used sparingly and maintained as needed. This survivor looks like a great way to get into the first year of this striking design.

Ridiculously Good Looking: 32K mile 230TE Wagon

January 14, 2016 mercedes, wagon

This wagon looks so good, and has such low miles, we're willing to overlook the seller's dispariging remarks about the sacred 3.0 diesel that this gray market Merc eschews for a 2.3.

When Wagons Became SUVs: 1975 Jeep Cherokee

March 20, 2016 jeep, cherokee, 4x4

These vintage Cherokees and Wagoneers have been gaining more and more respect lately as people realize that maybe Jeep (in its various forms) was onto something way back when. First referred to as a "Sport Utility" in the 1974 Jeep sales material, these trucks mark the starting point of a market that is still growing today. This 2 Door Cherokee looks to be in semi-shabby, but original condition and could be a great example to breathe new life into.

Let's keep it under 9K: 1976 BMW 2002

February 23, 2016 BMW, 2002

This 1976 BMW 2002 looks like it could be a fun car as is, and a great driver with a little work. More than presentable as it stands, we could see driving this as much as possible without a second thought. Concentrate on building from the suspension up and just smile every time you get a new rock chip.

Soccer Mom with a 389: 1962 Pontiac Bonneville Safari

Normally we'd shy away from any car that had both an air ride suspension, and a seller who talked about "patina" but we can't help but like this 1962 Pontiac Bonneville Safari. We're more into the air conditioning than the air bags, but either way this dry survivor could be a great cruiser.

Bottom Dollar Defender: 1994 Land Rover NAS D90

This US market 1994 Land Rover Defender has over 200,000 miles on it, plenty of rust, and according to the seller "dents on just about every panel." As the price of these NAS Defenders continue to skyrocket, it will be interesting to see what this low spec, rode-hard, no reserve example will go for.

Super Clean Build: 1967 Kaiser Jeep M715

Things have been quiet around MR HQ this week as we've been on a swing through the West Coast. Though the Bay Area is a powerful draw for Moto Roster fodder with its intersection of disposable income and gentle climate, our first feature now that we're back is from right up the road in Western Pennsylvania. Better yet, while its zipcode may say PA, its rust levels are CA.

Blue and Green Ovals: 1961 Land Rover Series IIa

It's a thought that everyone has had, "why don't car companies sell a classic body on a modern chassis and get the best of both worlds?" A guy in Alabama has answered that question for us, if a 1999 Ford Explorer qualifies as modern.

3 Speed, 3 Doors, 350: 1971 Chevrolet Suburban

May 01, 2016 chevy, suburban

This 1971 Suburban half ton is advertised as being in "nice, driveable and useable condition." We like the 3 door layout, all business interior, and the idea of the crate 350. The 3 on the tree might be a bit cumbersome at first but we like this survivor SUV.
