This unique rat rod is billed (and sort of titled) as a 1967 Toyota Stout. Once you get past the cab though, this thing is all bowtie with a Chevy 350 V8, Turbo 350 transmission, and what we're assuming is the frame from some sort of Corvette. We're not sure but it's looking like this may basically be a 70's Vette that had the cab from a Stout "fitted" to it.
Like all rat rods, this one is ridiculous, impractical, and we love it. We've seen lots of different vehicles turned into these garage-built terrors but this is the first time we've seen a Toyota Stout get the treatment.
It has a great stance with mud tires mounted on black steelies and looks extra sinister sitting about 2 inches off of the ground with Lake headers exiting just in front of the door. We don't think the neighbors would be be too happy whenever this one got fired up, but it would be sure to turn some heads at cars and coffee.
Power disc brakes up front are nice as this could be a pretty quick car since it probably weighs next to nothing.
The custom bed is well proportioned and has a "moon style" fuel tank mounted on it. It looks to have some lockable storage beneath the expanded sheet steel which is an interesting touch.
The frame is claimed to be custom boxed and built to handle up to 500 HP but no specifics are given as to its origins. As these things go, this one looks somewhat well equipped with glass all around, headlights, and turn signals.
It comes with an "Iowa Transferrable Registration" in lieu of a title so you may want to make sure you're on good terms with your local DMV representative if you're going to try to get plates on this thing.
