We had a very similar E46 wagon in the Moto Roster fleet for a bit, and though it is one of our favorite BMW body styles, it never really lived up to our expectations. That was mainly due to the fact that our wagon was short one pedal and lacking in fun factor. This one fixes that issue and has a few other nice details that could make it a great driver.
A high mileage BMW with limited documentation could be a recipe for disaster but we'll put that aside for now. This BMW looks to be well cared for and its combination of a manual transmission along with AWD and a wagon body make for a nice balance of fun and practicality.
On the aesthetic side of things, we like the unique blue paint and aluminum trim pieces on the interior. We can't recell ever seeing an E46 wagon without the wood trim so we're not sure if this is factory or aftermarket but we are 100% in for anything that gets rid of the "walnut" trim.
Things have been a little slow around here, and this write up is brief because we're in the middle of a new Moto Roster product that is adding some Machine Learning into our car hunting, but there's really not too much more to say about this wagon. Less than 5K for one of the best looking wagons ever made, optioned almost exactly how we would have ordered one when new. Go pick it up.
